Facilities and services of the Residence Hall in Granada

We are sure that you have occasionally imagined living in a place where you could share moments with friends and colleagues as well as have everything you need readily available.
Such is the case of the Emperador Carlos V Residence Hall, where you will find numerous facilities and services conceived to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Living in the Emperador Carlos V Halls of Residence is more than living in a room: it is a place for cohabitation and for sharing experiences that will enrich your life at university.

Facilities:

• Leisure room with TV, DVD, biliards, sofas and tables.
• New location for the fitness room for being  bigger and more luminous.
• Meeting area-office with tables, chairs and a bar fully equipped with sink and microwave.
• Wide and confortable living-room, with tables and sofas.
• Internet Wi-fi in all of the common spaces.
• “Cyber-corner” with Internet acces, fotocopy and printer machine.
• Big study room with properly furniture and ilumination.

• Self-service launderette: this works with cards (1.5 € for the washing machine and 1.5 € for the spin dryer)

Services:

• Vending service. Food and drink vending machines.
• Daily press. The residence hall is subscribed to the newspapers Ideal, El País and  Marca.
• Management and reception. Customer service hours are from Monday to Friday and from 9 am to 2:30 pm and from 4 pm to 8:30 pm.
• Cleaning service of the common areas. The room is your responsibility but, if you want, you can optionally hire the weekly room cleaning service.
• Maintenance service. From Monday to Friday and from 9 am to 7 pm. If something breaks down, call us and we shall solve this as soon as possible.
• Caretaker services. From Monday to Friday and from 9 pm to 8 am and at weekends and on holidays 24 hours a day.
• Lending service. Irons, ironing board, vacuum cleaners and board games. If you leave your ID at reception, we shall lend you these articles, so you do not have to bring anything from home and it does not take up room space.
• Laptop computers lending service
• Canteen service. This works every day (except weekends, holidays, Christmas, Easter and summer) with the following timetable:
  Breakfast: 7:30 - 10 h
  Lunch: 13 - 15:30 h
  * Dinner consists of packed food for room consumption. Collection will take place at the canteen from 1 pm to 5 pm.

Optional services: these services can be hired separately.

• Weekly room cleaning service (kitchen excluded): 32.65 €/month
• Weekly sheet and towel delivery service: 39.70 €/month
• Car parking space: 45.50 €/month, direct access to the residence hall or 30 €/month, non-direct access to the residence hall.
• Motorcycle parking space: 24 €/month.
• Free bicycle parking space
