The University of Alcalá has three campuses: two of them in Alcalá de Henares and another in Guadalajara. The Giner de los Ríos Residence Hall is in the   External Campus , which is at the exit of Alcalá, next to the "Príncipe de Asturias" University Hospital. It is here where the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Pharmacy and Medicine, among others, are to be found. Besides, the campus has various sports facilities, supermarkets bars and university canteens. The Parque Científico Tecnológico (Technological Scientific Park) is very near the residence hall.

How to get to the Campus of Alcalá?

1. By airplane: the underground connects terminals 2 and 4 of the airport of Barajas with the centre of Madrid. The simplest way is to take line 8 and get off at Nuevos Ministerios, where you can then take the regional trains that will take you to the Alcalá de Henares-Universidad station.

2. By train: There are regional trains of the C2 line ( Chamartín-Guadalajara) travelling from the Chamartín, Nuevos Ministerios, Recoletos Atocha stations and stopping at the Alcalá de Henares-Universidad station. You may consult the timetables at the website www.renfe.es

3. By bus: Madrid has several bus stops. To go to the External Campus, you must go to the Transport Interchange at Avenida de América, take line 227 and get off at the stop of the Environmental Sciences Dept.

4. By car: one must take the Madrid-Barcelona (N-II), and take motorway towards Barcelona and the Alcalá-Universidad exit at km 32 (de Meco).
