Resa receives the ISO 9001:2008 certification for all of its processes and residence halls

Residencias de Estudiantes, S.A . (RESA), the first and most populated residence hall network in Spain has received the ISO 9001:2008 certification in all its departments and residence halls in order to ensure the quality of all of its services on the basis of an improved management of all of its internal processes.

RESA has a complex organisation at its disposal, based on a series of geographically dispersed centres and supported by various departments that function from its headquarters: the works, projects, commercial, legal, administration and marketing departments, among others. They have all adapted their functioning to the requirements of the ISO 9001 Norm, which, by virtue of its generalised use and acceptance, is establishing itself as an indispensable requirement to carry out business activities within the world of major companies and public administration.

Thanks to the ISO 9001:2008 certificate, issued by the prestigious entity SGS ICS, RESA can reinforce its commitment to quality within an increasingly demanding market, which requires one not only to maintain high standards of quality in one’s work but also to give evidence of this quality. The IS0 9001 norm provides the organisation with control methods based on duly documented processes with quality indicators that are subject to both internal and external auditing. The certification this guarantees an improvement in the customer’s satisfaction, with a reduction of the number of mid-term incidents and a faster, more orderly solution for such problems.

RESA currently manages 25 residence halls in Spain, all located in 16 Spanish cities, and in agreement with various universities. Two more residence halls are soon to start functioning in Castelldefels and Terrassa, in agreement with the Technical University of Catalonia.
