•  the Príncipe Felipe Museum of Sciences: an innovative centre of interactive science. A didactic space, where visitors can “experience” with their own senses.
•  the Oceanográfico: the largest aquarium in Europe, with over 500 marine species.
•  the Reina Sofía Palace of Arts: this takes care of the opera programming and has been conceived as a global cultural centre that can serve as a venue for opera, ballet and open-air concerts.
•  the Umbracle: a green area covering more than 7,000 square metres and housing the Paseo de las Esculturas (Sculpture Walk), an open-air art gallery with sculptures by contemporary authors.

The overall design of the City of Arts and Sciences is the work of the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava who, in collaboration with Félix Candela, created a work that stands out for its design and architectural functionality.

Given the dimensions and contents of the whole complex of the City of Arts and Sciences, it is advisable to visit it in two days.

The residence hall has a breakfast service from Monday to Saturday (except in August). Breakfast price from 1,90 €. In addition, the residence offers a  vending service with hot and cold drinks, baked goods and snak food.
