You will be just a few minutes from your faculty, as the residence hall is located on the External Campus of the University of Alcalá with which it has an agreement.

Welcome to Alcalá de Henares
Alcalá de Henares was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1998, thanks to its historical site and the rectorate of the University. Here you will experience the spirit of Cervantes in all of its splendour, and will feel transported to the era of Quijote. Giner de los Ríos Residence Hall has a privileged location, away from the hustle and bustle of the capital, yet close enough to enjoy endless cultural, gastronomical and leisure activities, without missing out on the great work opportunities it provides.
Right in the university environment
The University of Alcalá has three campuses: two in Alcalá de Henares and one in Guadalajara. The residence is located on the External Campus at the exit from Alcalá, beside the “Príncipe de Asturias” University Hospital and the magnificent botanic garden of Juan Carlos I. On campus you will find the faculties of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Pharmacy and Medicine, among others, and the Science and Technology Park is very close to the residence.
You will find it simple to reach the Giner de los Ríos Residence Hall, thanks to the excellent public transport network to which it is connected. The easiest way is to take the metro, line 8, and get off at Nuevos Ministerios where you can get a commuter train from the station of Chamartín, Nuevos Ministerios or Recoletos – Atocha which will take you to the Alcalá-Universidad station.
If you prefer the bus, Madrid has several bus stations at the Transport Interchange at Avenida de América, take route 227 and get off at the Hospital stop which is the closest to the residence hall.
By car, you must take the Madrid-Barcelona (N-II) motorway, take exit 32 (Meco turn) and follow the signs for Universidad and Hospital Universitario. Check here the the different schedules and access roads.
