Admission criteria and place assignment order

1. Admission criteria

To be able to enter the admission process, it is necessary:
Be a bachelor student, enrolled or enrolling in the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).
There are a series of criteria by which the order of admission will be determined.
If the demand for places exceeds the number of rooms available, a waiting list will be created.

2. Admission criteria and place assignment order

The places will be assigned based on the following criteria and by this same order:

1. Former residents who renew their place in the residence and who have requested the renewal of the place before the 15th of March 2023 (inclusive).
2. New undergraduate applicants pre-registered at the UPF, pending enrollment and enrolled, who present a scholarship (information regarding the scholarships is provided at the end of this section)
Also included in this point is a 3-place quota in the Ciutadella Residence Hall of students enrolled in the ESCI and who meet this requirement.

3. New applicants who will be enrolled for first time at the UPF, who will be sorted according to the note of the EvAU (the average between of the grade of Selectividad and the grade of Bachillerato), only the general phase without including the note of the specific phase.

4. New applicants enrolled in the 2nd year and onwards from the UPF, which will be sorted according to the note of the EvAU (weighting of the Selectividad grade and the Bachillerato note), only the general phase without including the grade of the phase specific.

In case two grades are equal in the points previously described (3 and 4) will have preference whoever has formalized the request for a place before with the corresponding reservation payment.

UPF students with a disability are all admitted, as long as there is availability in the adapted rooms and they previously deliver the certificate of the same. If the demand for places exceeds the number of rooms available, a waiting list will be created. In case of reduced mobility, they will be accommodated in adapted double rooms of the R. Ciutadella.

Students belonging to the Erasmus program have a 10 places quota established at the Ciutadella Residence Hall and 5 places at the Campus del Mar Residence Hall. The only admission criteria will be by order of application with the corresponding reservation payment and UPF enrollment or admission letter.

Applications from the UPF affiliated centers are not admitted, except the degree in Bioinformatics (ESCI-UPF) and ESCI students who meet the requirement of section 2, previously described.

Duplicated applications at the 2 residences in agreement with the UPF (La Ciutadella and Campus del Mar) will not be processed. You can only make the reservation request in one of them.

Rooms will be assigned, considering the criteria above described place assignment order, taking into account the type of room requested by the student. It is only taken into consideration the type of room that is requested in the booking application, leaving the other discarded.

If the demand for places exceeds the number of rooms available, a waiting list will be created.

Priority will be given to applications for full-term stays, however, a variable quota of places is reserved for stays shorter than the course.
